My Story in home studio recording, mixing and mastering

My name is Sylvain Rochon, and I own SYTA Production, the company behind this website. My musical path began at age four when I started playing drums. By my teens, I was in a band and learning other instruments like guitar, bass, and keyboard. Soon after, I started singing and writing my own songs.

Back in the era of 4-track cassette recorders, I got one and began recording. When computers became capable, I got my first DAW and recorded my first album. It sounded okay, but the technology was limited back then.

In 2020, after about 15 years away from music, I bought my first MacBook, which came with GarageBand. That's when my modern recording, mixing, and mastering journey began. I was hooked, and I dove into learning everything about home studio recording, eventually upgrading to Logic Pro.

Today, after countless hours of learning, experimenting, and making mistakes, I've published my music on digital platforms. You can listen to my song "Sing a Song" on this website's homepage. Goals are achievable; all you need is the willingness to learn, and you can achieve the same results yourself, or I can help you.
